Kiefer Counseling, LLC offers a tailored approach to adolescent counseling, ensuring that our experienced and highly trained clinicians deliver the best program to fit the needs of each adolescent and family. Treatment plans are individualized from start to finish with every client and focus on:
-
Counseling: During one-on-one counseling sessions, teens work with their Kiefer Counseling counselor to set treatment goals, build accountability, develop essential coping skills, and learn about underlying issues contributing to their mental health.
-
Family Participation and Education: Clinicians strive to incorporate parents and families into the adolescent’s treatment plan, helping to increase trust and communication in the family and re-establish clear and healthy roles for parent and child.
-
Support Groups: Psychoeducational groups for teens that offer a structured support system and valuable healthy coping tools.
Parents often express their frustration about their teen’s reluctance to engage with support. We try and make this as manageable as possible by facilitating both in-clinic and online sessions.
Kiefer Counseling adolescent counseling sessions involve an approach that is comfortable and age-appropriate for adolescents. For example, the therapist may use talking therapy, or art therapy, etc. For teens who aren’t ready for face-to-face therapy, or who are unable to leave the home, we offer teletherapy.
